About 28 years ago, an eye-nose-throat doctor I consulted about clogged
sinuses piped up with "How do you breathe?" He explained he was referring to
a deviated septum and suggested surgery. Then he added he could "fix" the
shape of my nose cosmetically! With that, I lost any confidence in his
proposal, as I happen to like my snub nose. Now I wonder if his best reason
for such surgery would have been "it may reduce your susceptabillity to PD in
the future."
