Hi Folks: I have been a member of this list serv for 7 months now. I have enjoyed my ability to use this listserver to express my thoughts on various PD subjects. Through this list and other PD related activities i have formed personal relationships with about 30 individuals and knodding acquainces with 30 or more who frequently appear on this list. At no time has Barbara Paterson advised me to limit my remarks nor have I seen heard admonish anyone else publically on the net. I try to limit the frequency and length of my messages out of respect to other members using this list. I also respect the election of list members to exercise their right to utilize the list in a manner that best fits their PD needs. Conversely I expect about the same level of utilization by other members of the list. I also consider the suggestions of other members to adopt certain format rules to ease the task of sorting thru the messages. What I do take umberage with is the attempts of individuals to try and control the collective voices of the listmembers to limit the volumn or content of the messages to a specific area that they fell is appropriate. It is my feeling that the resource is hear and if you do not enjoy it then you have the absolute right to pick up and leave and find or start a new list in an area of your choice.
