It is basically about addiction and its relation to high amounts of dopamine. It refers to smoking , saying that nicotine apparently triggers the release of dopamine in the brain -- which you have been writing about from personal experience. The article mentions PD specifically several times . Perhaps they could write an article specifically about advancements in PD treatment -- if research was supported financially.
