At the Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center (NYC), Dr.
Seth Pullman, M.D.,  operates the "Clinical Motor
Physiology Lab."
There they study the objective measurement of movement
disorders and analyze the physiology of the different forms of
tremors.
Two of the tests are:
1. EEG to EMG activity - recording the relationship between
brain waves and involuntary movements, and
2. EMG profile - determining the focus of movement onset
and muscle activity.
Also, the basic mechanisms responsible for dystonia are
being studied using stimulation of the central nervous
system.
