Hello Debbie, I'm pleased to see that you are still in there pitching for
your mom. My answer to your first question has to be 'maybe'. dopamine is=20
unique iin that it is replacing a deficiency of the same chemical in the=20
brain. The agonists like Pergolide appear in principle to be doing the same,=20
but the link is a little more tenuous

As I understand your e-mail, your mum tried taking a Sinemet 25/100 with each
of her Permax tablets, in addition to the 4 Sinemet which she is also taking.
You don't say how many Perax per day she takes, but this is clearly quite a
big rise in her dosage, and it seeme to be working!  You may recall some=20
time ago, I was trying to coax your mother to increase  her dosage in small
steps until she noticed an improvement, but we didn't get very far: well I=20
think she is finally getting some benefit, albeit by a rather strange=20
strategy.  I assume that she is now permanently on her new schedule, and
feeling better?
