Hello- I don't know much about the drug Tolcapone, but I believe that it is suppose to enhance the effects of sinemet. My father is presently participating in a study at the University of Rochester, in Rochester, NY. He began taking tolcapone about two weeks ago. He previously seen only a small, if even noticeable, improvement from sinemet. Now, about half an hour after taking the tolcapone, he can notice the improvement more easily. He will be returning to the university next week for an evaluation. I believe that the doctors there told him that tolcapone should be approved by the FDA in Aug. or Sept.
