I have made these observations:
1. There are 21 diabetic aunts, but only 12 diabetic uncles of PWP's.
2. Of the 21 aunts, 13 are maternal, but only 8 are paternal.
3. Of the 12 uncles, 8 are maternal but only 4 are paternal.
4. This gives us 21 maternal aunts and uncles, but only 12
paternal.
5. For female PWP's, 83% (.10 out of 12) diabetic relatives are
maternal.
The sample includes more AUNTS, more MATERNAL aunts, more MATERNAL
uncles, but FEW PATERNAL aunts or uncles of FEMALE PWP'S.
