I am a new subscriber, caregiver for John, age 63 with progressive
supranuclear palsy diagnosed two years ago. Would love to hear from others
with knowledge or experience of PSP.

Re: Udall Bill: Here in New England we a Committee to Pass the Udall Bill
organized to connect all support groups and launch a petition,
letter-writing and call-your-congressman/senator campaign. We have
particularly focused on Sen. Jeffords who is reluctant to sign on again as
a co-sponsor now that he is Chair of Labor and Human Relations and who is
also committed to eliminating ear-marking for NIH. The goal is to get a
majority of house and senate signed on as co-sponsors (by being inundated
with petitions, letters, phone calls) and then Sen. McCain will feel he has
a strong position to persuade Jeffords to move the bill out of committee
and onto the floor for a vote. That's it in a nutshell. Committee is
based in Boston and is accessed by dinasaur technology: c/o Charles
Richards, but better is to access c entral resources of PAN and APDA.
Can't believe there's anybody out there in the PWP world who hasn't already
been involved in this campaign. You know the old 60's slogan...if you're
not part of the solution, you're part of the problem!
