Hello Phil, I use both free weights and a homegym. I'm 55 and had a neuro drop the PD news on me 3 yrs ago. I had some symptoms 1 1/2 or 2 yrs before that. For me exercise is just as important as my medicine. If I don't exercise for a week I start to get stiff in my arms, back, and shoulders. After doing chest exercises my chest muscles twitch but that goes away in an hour or so. There are no set rules. Try free weights, your body will tell you if they are helpful. If not try something else like a 10K run, or ripping phonebooks in half, swim from Florida to Cuba and back, ect. Good luck and let us know how you're doing. Dennis A Nestler [log in to unmask]
