I've re-read Stephan's information. Maybe the answer is, in fact, that the medicine was still in the stomach (for five days?) Later Cisapride was considered but never tried. I do not remember exactly why. Not to be ruled out is the possibility that another volvulus is evolving. (I was told last time that there could have been an intermittent twisting and untwisting for some time and that it could not have been diagnosed unless observed at the time of a kink.) If there is no volvulus developing, then it would seem to me that there is a chicken vs. egg first situation. But I do feel better able to discuss this with the doctor. Now if I could just get an appointment sooner than the one I was offerred yesterday for the end of August..... Thanks, Carol Horner, cg; Walter 74/21
