Andrew,
Thank you. I will pass the info to my parents.

Stooped posture is a symptom of PD.

Much can be done to correct it and improve balance.
Many PD booklets describe exercises for posture.

For example: pwp stands facing wall 1 foot away,
places hands high over head palms on wall,
              leans forward. Feel back arch.
You try it first, then teach it to pwp.
Also do standing pushups in corner of room,
one hand on each facing wall.

I prefer passive stretches -- using gravity and no balance.
For example: Using a large (2' diameter) inflated ball,
lean pwp backwards over ball placed in middle of back
              arms overhead almost touching floor.
Roll ball up and down spine by walking legs back and forth.
Without ball, lay over edge of bench, both feet
tucked under or over edge of bed.

As a primary caregiver, for 4 years I did exercises almost daily
with my aunt. We both got fit. Join a gym, pump iron.
