Bruce, it seems to me, that Mr Bill Gates could contibute enough money to
cure PD on his own, if he were informed of the need, and so inclined. I
don't know what he is like personally, but most people would be very happy to
have the prestige of providing a cure for a major disease, such as PD.
Imagine the discussion at the country club: Rich person #1: "I just spend
$195,000 for a Rolls Royce that looks nice and will spend half the time in
the repair shop." Rich person #2: "I just bought a 67 room mansion with an
ocean view, and a wine cellar, for $10,000,000, for my wife and I to live in.
Rich person #3:" I just funded a cure for Parkinson's disease, which will end
needless suffering for several million folks with the disease, and give
relief to their families and caregivers."
Now I ask you people, which rich person would be YOUR hero?
If Bill Gates, or one of his close friends happens to see this, please let
him know how meaningful his life could become, and that he could have a major
place in history, as a great humanitarian! It sounds like a win-win
situation to me! (Only half kidding) Ken B.
