John, I am interested in electronics, and was thinking along similar lines, except , in a slightly different way: If the brain gets signals from the nerves, why couldn't they be input from somewhere else in the body, that would not require drilling into the skull? The nerves could be a conduit. My wife has used a TENS unit which eases pain by running a current through parts of the body using external contact pads. Maybe there is a way to treat PD symptoms in a similar fashion???? Ken B
