Hi Carol,

I am unwilling to discuss particular problems associated with
pharmaceuticals. I don't have enough money to risk being sued.

The smells to which I and others referred are just false messages to the
olfactory system. Your problem seems much more serious.

There is a general warning for interaction between TCA's (tricyclic
anti-depressant) such acs imipramine, and MOA's (monoamine oxidase
inhibitor) such as selegiline hydrochloride (eldepryl) .

The effects are much as you describe. However, they don't affect everyone
equally or at all. For example, I take Sinequan, a TCA, and Eldepryl, a
MOA, and don't have any adverse reaction that I am aware of.

I am not aware of any particular side-effects of Eldepryl taken alone, but
when we consider any medication that affects the brain, I suppose anything
is possible.

I know what you mean about not being taken seriously by doctors. What one
does in a town where one's choices are limited, I don't know.
