Like, it is not that the memory gets destroyed, it is just that it is not retrievable, at least, not when you want that particular bit. The only way to delete memory is to actually discard the brain cells that contain that memory. Memory cells do not get writen over, like you can do when you write over data that is on a floppy diskette. If you can't retrieve the particular byte you need today, you might be able to retrieve it tomorrow or the next day, or whenever. That is why it is so important to put only good things into memory, if there are only good things there, that is all you can retrieve. [log in to unmask]
