Dear Joe, Did you know that a wire transmits signals something like a hundred times faster than a neuron. I heard that on a science program somewhere. So, if we could replace at least some of the neurons in our motor cortex with wires i.e. some kind of neural prosthesis, we would all be faster than a speeding bullet, and more powerful than a locamotive, and so on...
