I am the person to whom the facial exercises were emailed. Here they are for
whomever might benefit:

The following exercises come from "Living with Parkinson's" by David Carroll,
pp. 125-126.

seconds. Close. Repeat several times.

Scrunch up your face, wrinkling your forehead, eyes, nose and mouth. Hold
for 4 or 5 seconds. Repeat several times.

Wiggle your nose for several moments, then wrinkle it. Repeat sevearl times.

Wiggle the muscles in your ears for several moments.

Stick your tongue out as far as it will go and hold for sevearl moments.
Repeat several times. Stick it out the right side of your mouth; hold, then
the left. Try to touch your nose with your tongue.

Pucker up your mouth and whistle a tune.

Close your eyes tightly, hold, then open wide. Alternate several times.

Massage your entire face: scalp, forehead, nose, all around your ears and
temples. Massage over the eyes, the lips, chin, and cheek bones.

Smile broadly and say "Eeeeee." Hold for several moments, then frown
broadly. Alternate several times.

Raise your eyebrows up and down (groucho marx style), 8-10 times. Do several
sets.

Holding your head still, move your eyes as far to the right as you can, hold
for a moment, then to the left. Then up and down. Repeat several times.

Roll your eyes round in your head. Try to get as wide a circle as you can in
bothdirections. Repeat several times.

Click your teeth together approximately 50 times.

Now take several deep breaths, sit quietly, and relax for several minutes.

Warmly, Dawn
