My first sypmtoms of PD were locking of my left leg when I jogged. I would go like this for miles. I found that running backwards worked quite well, allowing me to run forwards again, for awhile. This became comical considering my best time to run was at 5am before the sun came up. I figured I couldn't see running forward anyway so it didn't really matter which side of me hit something first.
