Dear Bruce,
If you want to avoid protein during the day, the recommendation is to
eat no more than 10 grams of protein before the evening meal.

Caution: people with abnormal blood sugar, high triglycerides, or lung
disease should consult their physician (and a registered dietitian)
before beginning such a diet change.

If you wish, I can e-mail you information that includes a chart of
approximate protein amounts in different foods.
