Billy....

There are some outstanding medical researchers in Canada as well as
outstanding physicians. Presuming that the Canadian government always
allocates a certain amount of money each fiscal year for medical research,
that they weren't going to spend that 60 million dollars on PD research (my
1st choice), can you think of a BETTER was to spend funds dedicated to medical
research?

Granted, Canada isn't Shangri La, but then neither is any other country in the
world. At LEAST they're not spending the people's money on palaces, fast
cars, fast women, and God-only-knows-what-else, like the Sultan of Brunei,
for goodness sake! With the unbelievable wealth HE has, PD _AND_ cancer
could prolly be eradicated if he devoted that part of his income he spends on
high living to medical research! (I could also say the same of a certain
multi-gazillionnaire resident of the fair state of Washington, but whence last
I heard I was still working for him so am keeping my mouth shout)

Like, just because we campaign against your bill to spend money
on Parkinsons research does not mean we are not your friends, eh?
We just spent $60 million here in Canada to try to do the
impossible, develop a vacine for Cancer. Talk about wasting
money, eh?
