Hi everyone, My grandmother had her first neuro appointment today. He felt that she is over-medicated and made some changes in her meds and we just have to wait and see. He said it would be a slow process, that you can't cut the meds back too quickly. We go back in a month. I have read, and heard it referred to within the group, that a minority of PWP develop dementia, but this doctor seems to feel that in my grandmother's case Parkinson's is a result of micro-strokes or infarcts which themselves cause dementia. Has anyone else heard of this (Parkinson's resulting from mini-strokes?) or have experience with this? I would appreciate any input. Lori Bauer cg for grandmother 87/7 [log in to unmask]
