Ruth, I tried bifocals, but could not stand them. I went back and after a long discussion, decided on two pairs of glasses. I am near-sighted so reading something in my hands close to me is no problem. I have one set of glasses for distance (driving, viewing TV across the room, etc.) and a second set for approximately 18inches (1+1/2 feet) which is the average distance from my eyes to my computer screen, desk, etc. This has worked great. don't forget how to laugh Marling [log in to unmask] (work) or [log in to unmask]
