Thanks to everyone who shared with me their opinions and experiences
concerning my "PD and mini-strokes" question.

I have been able to find some references to arteriosclerotic
parkinsonism, also called vascular pseudoparkinsonism resulting in
parkinsonian symptoms and caused from damage to brain vessels due to
multiple small strokes. I have also found it referred to as atypical
parkinsons and non-idiopathic parkinsons. I had no idea there were so
many categories and sub-categories of parkinson's.

>From what I've been able to gather searching the web, mini-stroke
and TIA are used interchangeably in most of the info I've found. The
symptoms being the same as for "stroke" but with less duration (under 24
hours) for TIA or mini-stroke and over 24 hours for stroke.
