Barbara and others,

We speak a lot of what a PWP would do without the support of their caregiver.
But, what does the caregiver do if the PWP dies first??

I was so glad that my mother-in-law (her mother was a stroke victim) had the
foresight to be on a waiting list for a special apartment in a complex for
elderly and disabled people. When her mother died, her name was at the top of
the list and she made her final move swiftly and calmly. She is in a secure
place and has her needs met. She was so exhausted from caring for her mother
24hr/day-365day/yr that we nearly lost her during the first 6 months after Gram
died.

Caregivers need to be provided for also, just in case.
