The following announcement is about a new Web Site dedicated to the
long-term issues concerning Managed Care. Because its focus is on the
long-term rather than the acute-care issues, we believe it will be a
particularly valuable source of information for people with chronic
illnesss and people in the disabilities community. Please share this with

Managed Care Clearinghouse Web Site

MCARE is pleased to announce the availability of its new website. This
site provides the most current information available on managed care,
long-term services and supports, and self-determination, including links to
news articles, upcoming conferences and events, government documents,
research and policy papers, and individual perspectives. MCARE also
intends to host on-line discussions and to disseminate a series of
videotapes featuring national experts on managed-care issues.
MCARE, the National Clearinghouse on Managed Care and Long-Term Services
and Supports for Adults with Developmental Disabilities and Their Families,
is funded through a grant from the Administration on Developmental
Disabilities at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
