i offer three loud cheers for your courage
in the face of what i tend to call
this society's brainwashing
or rather brainstaining
of attitudes
toward these wonderful animal bodies of ours
would that the excitement and joy and celebration
surrounding the average birth of a new baby
applied to the rest of the process
