My week for mistakes. I reread the material John Cottingham sent me about MSA and it seems I misunderstood it the first time. MSA encompasses Shy-Drager Syndrome, striatonigral degeneration and olivopontocerebellar atrophy (SDS, SND, & OPCA). I thought originally that it was a separate disease from these three and that there were yet three more variants of it--how many flavors can we take? I still seem to lack almost all the distinguishing features of those three--back to researching. Meanwhile, I'd still like to hear from any MSA's among you about anything that helps. Thanks.
