Ken--your suggestion of a mouthguard was the first thing we tried--Peter finds it less than effective, unfortunately, as our dentist had it made for about $70.00! :-( A football mouth guard from WalMart didn't work (we tried it first). So I guess the word is, "been there, done that"--but thanks so much for your suggestion. (He can't stand to keep it in all night, which might work better, I think.)
