Hi!
Nausea sometimes disappears if change Sinemet to Madopar (for example it
helps my father).
(But, as I heard, Madopar is not available in US...)

Madopar (TradeMark ROCHE) is a combination of levodopa and benserazide
(instead of carbidopa in Sinemet), in the ratio 4:1.
The preparation is available as capsules of three different strengths,
as cross-scored tablets of two different strengths, and as capsules with a
controlled-release action:

Capsules:
Madopar '62.5' with 50 mg levodopa + 12.5 mg benserazide;
Madopar '125' with 100 mg levodopa + 25 mg benserazide;
Madopar '250' with 200 mg levodopa + 50 mg benserazide;

Tablets:
Madopar '125' with 100 mg levodopa + 25 mg benserazide;
Madopar '250' with 200 mg levodopa + 50 mg benserazide;

Hydrodynamically Balanced System:
Madopar HBS with 100 mg levodopa + 25 mg benserazide.

Undesirable effects. Anorexia, nausea and vomiting are rare when Madopar is
used.
Such side effects, which may occur in the early stages of treatment, can be
largely brought under control by taking Madopar during meals or together
with sufficient food or liquid...

P.S  Dear Debbie,
