Sheila,

I have been taking Artane (and Eldepryl) since diagnosis of PD (1993).
According to the neurol. the Artane purpose is to suppress the arm/hand
tremors, and it does seem moderately effective in that respect.  About
the only side effect I have noticed is dry mouth and eyes due to
Artane-caused reduction in saliva and tear production.
