For Diane and others who may be interested.

Win, 67, dx Jan 97, has had problems with constipation for years, made
worse by other medications she requires to control an unstable bladder.
She has found that eating two pieces of fruit (an apple or pear, portion
of cantaloupe or papaya) first thing in the morning
has helped. She has this cut into small portions, and takes her first
Sinemet with it. She then has her cereal, which includes 2 tablespoons
of unprocessed bran, and a quarter cup of processed bran (AllBran) about
an hour after the fruit. She has one rounded dessertspoon full of
linseed as part of her breakfast cereal. She soaks the linseed in water
overnight. She usually spends 5 - 8 mins on an exercise bike, as she
has found this is a great help in overcoming constipation.
