Kathie, Camilla, Janet, and listfriends - >>in a news article posted recently about mirapex/pramipexole, >>the anticipated reduction in levodopa requirement was 27 percent! I thought this might be a good time to mention again that Dick reduced his Sinemet dose by 50% on his second day of taking Mirapex. Otherwise, he had worse dystonia and dyskinesia than ever. With the reduction in Sinemet, he is doing very, very well on the Mirapex. More mobile, more energetic, more positive, mentally more alert.... I know it won't work this well for everyone, but the key to his success with it may be his immediate reduction of the Sinemet. That, and perhaps the fact that he was never able to tolerate much Sinemet without very unpleasant side effects. Good luck to all of you, and especially to Camilla and Peter, who have been through such a harrowing ordeal. Margie Swindler [log in to unmask]
