Hello, listfriends -

I just finished reading _Waist High in the World_ by Nancy Mairs. The subtitle is "A Life Among the Nondisabled"; the author has MS which, given its adult-onset and progressive nature, bears similarities to PD. I found it eye-opening AND a good read (all too rare pairing -- and guess what! Nancy likes to use parens, just like me!) and would like to suggest it to both PWP and CGs. Plus, I'd love to hear your evaluations.

Also read _The Case of the Frozen Addicts_ this summer; that was informative but poorly written :(.

No, I didn't just read PD stuff! If anybody wants a general book chat, we can do that, too!

Oh - Nancy Mairs has published 6 other books, at least some of which seem, from the titles, to at least touch on autobiographical issues.

It was nice to have the weekend "off" while my sis was in from MA.
