I found the pallidotomy.com site to provide interesting information about the surgery, and also about Parkinson's itself, as well as having information about Dr. Iacono. Since he IS one of the most advanced movement disorder specialists and neurosurgeons in the world today and has trained a great many of the neurosurgeons mentioned here on the list. I know, because each time I went to Dr. Iacono's office there's be another neurosurgeon being introduced to me. I recognize so many of their names as you mention 'em here on the List. One of the things that I really appreciated about Dr. Iacono is that he really LISTENED to me. I was never discredited as not knowing what my own body was feeling like by him or his staff. I feel that Dr. Iacono actually LEARNED from his patients, and even tho he certainly does have a healthy ego <smile>, he's not to proud consider the thoughts and suggestions of his patients as valuable tools in learning more about PD. So yes.... the site DOES refer to Dr. Iacono... ifs his site... and we all will benefit from it as we do from any useful PD-related info presented to us on the Web.
