Ken, My son uses a Sony Genie -- was about $700, upgradeable, multi-functions (organizer, etc.) -- he can download and send e-mail on it. He's not using it now, only because he has e-mail at work that will forward phone messages to his pager, so he doesn't need it. Good luck!
