Dennis and Al,

It is difficult to talk about cynicism without mentioning Amborse Bierce, a
dsynic himself, who defined a cynic as, "a blackguard whose faulty vision
sees things as they are, not as they ought to be. Hence the custom among
the Scythians of plucking out a cynic's eyes to improve his vision."

Ambrose Bierce is a case in point: a cynic does not have to be humorless.
Unless, that is, he also happens to be a Scythian.
