Marvin, that was "The Little Engine That Could" I believe, about a locomotive that was running out of steam. Someone wrote a book "Everything I Needed To Know For Life I Learned in First Grade, I am sure someone will correct me on both titles, and maybe even credit the authors, but it is beginning to make sense! Glad you made the trip, and I am sure you are too. Actually all I remember about first grade is doing silly dances to a badly played out-of-tune piano, while a tone deaf teacher tried to sing. I have no idea what that contributed to my life! I also learned to eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches without barfing........ Ken B.
