Debbie... Geee... I prolly live about 3 minutes away from your folks - I live near White Oak and Vanowen. Hmmmm.... (thinking)... why I think I saw you mom in Topanga Plaza Mall last week! <grin> She was telling everyone in Nordstrom's how wonderful her daughter Debbie is! Your mom... right? <LOL> Considering where your folks live, they REALLY should drop by our Parkinson's Support Group meetings which are held the last Sat. of each month at Granada Hills Hospital at 1:00 p.m. The hospital's on Balboa Blvd., about 100 feet north of Devonshire. And ya KNOW it's gotta be a GREAT buncha people 'cause I only join groups that have a terrific membership! <grinning> And if they DO come to the meeting, please tell 'em to gimme a howdy and introduce themselves to me. I'd be very pleased to see 'em there. Maybe close to my parents, in Winnetka.) About a year ago they started going down to USC to see a specialist. This is not cheap, but everyone, including the neurologist at Kaiser, seems relieved for her input. When we have been up at northern Ca Kaiser it has been such a relief to have a neurologist and nurses who have had experience with Parkinsons. In general, everyone always seem to say how aggressive one must be with the Kaiser system, in order to get good care when one has an ongoing disease. debbie [log in to unmask]
