EVE - Enjoy Vancouver Electronically

http://www.webzines-vancouver.bc.ca

EVE is a new interactive webzine devoted to the celebration and improvement of
the quality of life in Vancouver.

The inaugural contents include independent notes and reviews on 1,500
restaurants; notes on British Columbia wines; and a position statement and
discussion of public transit issues, to which we hope community leaders will
contribute. EVE will be updated more or less continuously and every section will
be interactive. Significant contributions will be archived. Length and deadlines
will not dominate decisions. Presentation and content will.

Future plans call for the extension of content into other themes of
entertainment, recreation, music, theatre, hobbies and every subject which
engages the attention of residents and visitors. New public discussion segments
will open up debate on anything of concern -- architecture, environment, space
in the city, policing, schools, universities -- with creativity, content, and
long term considerations central.

Though run by novices, EVE intends to look forward towards multimedia
presentations, and to treat the technology of the web and multimedia as an
opportunity to create a new type of magazine which offers distinct advantages --
in some respects -- over print, radio, or television, though eventually
incorporating elements from each.

In working toward these ends, EVE needs criticism and suggestions -- the point
of the web's special nature as a tool for communication.
