For all those who missed it, the vote was 38 aye, 60 nay - the amendment
was defeated.
The amendment would have blunted the effect of passage of the Udall Bill,
so this is good.
My coverage via www.c-span-org failed. I'm not sure if this was true for
everybody, but it was an exciting vote to watch. I'm especially sorry if
our cyblings abroad couldn't follow it.
