Ivan, I know some of the trials and tribulations you have suffered in recent times, and this situation you described is deplorable. I can't make it go away, but I have some suggestions. Keep up the fight to get compensation, but try not to spend a lot of money to do it, that will only make things worse, as you know. A well written letter is more effective than a battery of lawyers, if it gets to the right place, at the right time. Maybe they have ways they can compensate you, other than cash, which they may not have available. I am only guessing here, but maybe they could send you vouchers for needed services that you could get in your home, or medication, or equipment. I don't know how high in the organization you were able to get so far, I would hope you contacted the CEO, or Chairman of the Board, or whoever is responsible for the reputation of the organization. Did you ever get in contact with the specialist who was not available? Revenge will not help you, but compensation will. I would call what happened malpractice. I am sure they would rather have good publicity than bad. that may be their Achille's Heel, if you can contact the right person. See if you can find out who their major benefactors are, and write to them. I have been burned more than once by incompetent, dishonest, and greedy corporations, but I have been able to get compensation, and a certain amount satisfaction, by constantly calling, writing, and/or suing, or threatening the same, until I won. I always start out with the premise that they just made a mistake and did not mean to dissappoint a client, but if they did not respond properly, I just got "mad as hell, and kept up the pressure. You WILL prevail, but make it be THEIR problem, not yours! Good luck! Ken B
