I don't think most of us are taking mirapex because it is "new." Rather, because it is supposed to improve our quality of life. In my case, I was having too many end of dose lows and mirapex was supposed to alleviate most episodes. It was supposed to be an improvement over the older agonists. Only time will tell if it is effective, and right now I am being a guinee pig. Edie
