Yes, unfortunately they show up everywhere!  Only one or two at a time
because they are what's known as "giant" hives.  Sometimes I'll wake up with
my eye swollen shut! (this one particularly bothers my husband because to the
general public I look abused!)  The only causes the drs, and I have been able
to pinpoint are pressure(as in tight shoes), and changes in hormone levels!
 Also sometimes I know chocolate will affect me, tho' not always, and also
red wine.  I call them "crazy bumps", you can see why.

The person with the burning itching toes should notice whether the itch comes
from within, or on top of the skin.  My allergic itch and swelling comes from
deep within...so when you scratch you really have to get "deep" in order to
feel it!  I think it makes a difference in what type of meds would be
prescribed...because no amount of ointment could help my hives.
