Donna, I''m sure you will have many to agree here. Since we are traveling in such unchartered waters, I have found the best approach to be a bit assertive with the doctors. I am a caretaker for my exhusband , Jim (dx14 yrs.) and the only way we ever get anywhere is to just tell him where we are and what we think is the best approach from here. The Dr. is not living with your dad and can not see him 24 hours as you do. I have found Jim to be absolutely spectacular when we walk in the Dr's office, leave and hardly be able to get across the parking lot! I think it ties into nerves and perhaps adrenalin or whatever ... Our Dr. is not what we would hope for, but Jim is on Social Security Disability and I'm sure that doesn't help his position. Sad but true. Arlene for Jim
