I only know the name of the MDs who did the initial and will continue to do the collagen injections on me, and one of those is the first in the nation - if not the world - to do this procedure on Parkies. (It HAS been done on OTHER patients for other reasons for years!) That physician is Dr. Gerald Berke, of the UCLA Medical Center. His phone number is: (310) 206-6688. IF you are a Kaiser Permanente patient, Kaiser's Dr. David Pitts (Kaiser Metropolitan Los Angeles) has trained for this procedure under Dr.. Berke and now HE does the collagen injections as well. Please remember that you MUST be a Kaiser member to use this HMO's services, and you MUST be referred to the ENT Dept. by your primary care physician before Dr. Pitts can do the procedure.
