Dear Mike - Welcome to the list. You wrote: >For a while I took Selegeline as well but have now stopped that . Artane may be useful in controlling tremor, and you may be doing well on it for now. However, I believe that Artane, like Cogentin, another anti-cholinergic, can eventually cause cognitive deficits. I don't see any sign of that in your letter <grin>, but if you or your family start to worry about your memory or mental function, it would definitely be time to consider getting off of it. You may find you have to titrate down and wean yourself off of it gradually. That was the only way my husband could get off Cogentin without being quite ill. BTW, my husband is 52, and was diagnosed at age 37. You'll find lots of PWP with young onset PD on this list. If you want more info on any subject, you can ask for an archive search - at least as soon as John Cottingham returns from Australia. And there are several listmembers who are PWP and either doctors or pharmacists. They can offer helpful advice. Jerry Starr, any advice for Mike re Artane?
