Dennis, I agree whole heartedly,  the patient DOES pay the price here, unless
they have either excellent private insurance, or are covered by medicare, and
medicade.  When the hospital knows it will get paid for everything they do,
they roll out the red carpet and treat a patient like royalty, and you could
be a permanent resident with round-the-clock nurturing care.........HOWEVER,
if an HMO is involved,  They'd do an eight organ transplant as an outpatient
procedure, given the chance!  Insurance used to be a way for everyone to pay
a fair amount, and

 the insurance company could make a fine profit, while providing proper
