^^^^^^GREETINGS FROM^^^^^^^^^^ Ivan Suzman 47/10 [log in to unmask] Portland, Maine land of lighthouses 66 deg. F warmer *********************************************************** Dear Listmembers , and Dr. Meyer, and NPF friends and employees, I ask you for your patience , as I had not planned to post the Listmembers further about the NPF. I will be brief, in responding to Dr. Meyer's post. Let me start by asking those on the list who were upset by my strong language for your forgiveness. I simply was so dismayed and hurt that my anger at the NPF came out very, very strongly. I never have felt like involving lawyers makes sense. I was always hoping to work something out. Despite what happened, I view the NPF as an invaluable part of the world PD community. As Dr. Meyer has indicated, I went there in good faith that the NPF could help me decide how to battle this extremely challenging "disease." My recent posts are back to trying to be as helpful as I can to listmembers, and no longer are concerned with the NPF ordeal. Charlie (Dr. Meyer), thank you for the time and trouble you have been taking on my behalf, and "TOWARD A UNITED PD COMMUNITY" (the title of many of your September posts). I am grateful that you have been talking to the NPF. If the NPF is willing to help me at all, it would really be appreciated. I can only travel accompanied, and it really, at a minimum, involves three days' travel from Maine, along with 24 hrs a day of CNA or other qualified caregiver help.. That is why my expenses were higher than one might initially imagine. I will close by saying again, Dr. Meyer, thanks a million for everything. And listmembers, rest assured that I share with you the view that the NPF is a precious resource to all of us . We all need each other, and it is my hope that we will realize our fullest potential as a united community. With warmest greetings from Maine, land of lighthouses and rocky shores. Yours very sincerely, Ivan Suzman 47/10 Portland
