Hello Everyone,
I'm new to the list as well as the computer and the internet. I
received info on how to send stuff to the list, but didn't quite understand
how to do it. I'm a little nervous about doing it the wrong way. I hope I
don't mess anyone up. I've been sitting on this for a week and decided I
would bite the bullet and send something.
Here it goes.
My mother has had PD for about 15 years. Fortunately she has had a
very slow
progression of the disease. Lately she has been getting weaker and slower.
She is on 50/200 Sinemet and Elderpryl. She has had two major surgeries in
the last year
and a half, unrelated to her PD. She is taking Zoloft and an anti psychotic
Resperidal. My question is that she needs to take vitamines and iron, but we
heard that some vitamines and iron should not be taken with her PD
medication. Has anyone heard about iron and vitamines and what effect they
have on PD? She can't afford to negate her medication, but year she needs
the iron for her iron deficiency?
