Our new computer finally arrived. Our old one was hit by lightning so we were without one for over one month.I had 228 email messages, the majority being PD digests. It is great getting caught up with all of the news. I want to thank Mary Rack for calling me with the info about Kansas State Medical Center. We were able to get an appointment on November 10 with Dr. Koller. I don't believe we even have a movement specialist in Montana. We had thought we would go back to Mayo, but since Don has a board meeting in Kansas City this is going to work out great. We are excited. Since Don only takes Simemet CR and Eldrypryl we are hoping to try one of the new drugs that have just been released. In April I had faxed our Senators and our representative about the Udall Bill. I heard from the two Senators, one had cosponsored, the other said he was in favor of the bill. When I received a letter to give money to the other one I trashed it since he never ever answered my fax. A friend who works in his office told me to send the fax to her and she would be sure he received it. I had sent the fax twice. This time I got a letter right back. He said he was a cosponsor for HR 1398. I understand that 1398 differs from HR 1260 in that it bars federal funding for fetal tissue research. What are your thoughts about the two bills. Could someone tell me how to search for any of the topics in the Science Reviews that I received today? When Don first was diagnosed with PD he had one foot that was numb, shortly thereafter we started using some Chinese herbs marketed by Sunrider and the numbness went away and hasn't returned. We have also found the magnetic insoles and mattress have been very helpful. When Don works too hard he suffers all night with aches and pains. The above are just some of my thought as I read over 100 messages over the weekend. Nancy B. CG/Don 63/13 rted using
